CSIRO iGoogle Gadget
I wrote this iGoogle gadget for the CSIRO to allow users to keep up to date with the latest CSIRO media releases, events and podcasts.
About Me
I am a web developer working for a scientific research organisation. My background is in mathematics, physics and astronomy, which I studied at the Australian National University, the University of Wollongong and Swinburne University of Technology, though the majority of my professional career has been in web development. I met my wife online long before it was fashionable to do so.
I am a bit of a travel addict and have visited a number of countries in Europe and Asia over the past decade.
Why allrite?
In 1993 when I went to get my first internet capable unix account on cairo.anu.edu.au I was asked to provide an 8 character username. The name allrite popped into my head. Allrong was once my evil alter ego, but now appears where the username allrite is already taken.
Blogs
My latest blog is allrite rites. I keep a separate travel blog at travelling allrite and kept a separate journal of our month in Hong Kong, China and Japan. I also have an old blog at allrite's webworld. There is also Views from a train which contains occasional observations and photos MMS and SMS'ed from my Telstra mobile phone.
