About Me

I am a web developer working for the CSIRO's ICT Centre and Mathematical & Information Sciences divisions in Sydney. I previously worked for the CSIRO Australia Telescope National Facility as well as a number of private companies.

I studied Mathematics, Physics and Astronomy at the Australian National University, the University of Wollongong and Swinburne University of Technology.

I met my wife online long before it was fashionable to do so. We have travelled through Australia, Asia and Europe. Some of these trips are detailed in my blog with photos there and in the photo galleries.

Why allrite?

In 1993 when I went to get my first internet capable unix account on cairo.anu.edu.au I was asked to provide an 8 character username. The name allrite popped into my head. Allrong was once my evil alter ego, but now appears where the username allrite is already taken.

Blogs

Most content can be found in my blog Webworld. I am also interested in posting while on the move. Views from a train contains observations and photos MMS and SMS'ed from my Telstra mobile phone. I have a new travel blog at allrite's travels. I also kept a blog during our trip to Hong Kong, China and Japan in March and April 2007.
